MCCALLUM ISOLATORS BLACK

This product aims to reduce transmission coupled mechanical vibration principally between a speaker cabinet and the room environment. Designed to reduce the amount of speaker cabinet energy coupling to the floor surface, effectively isolating the speaker thereby allowing the cabinet and drive units to work without the detrimental effects of environmental room contamination.

Atlas McCallum Isolator's are constructed using African Blackwood. They are designed to reduce mechanical vibrations and the amount of speaker cabinet energy coupling to the floor. They are suitable for use with small floorstanding and standmount speakers.

The Ultra plug has been carefully developed through extensive research into types of slow dried wood that can be used as insulation material. The use of slow dried wood provides the isolator with a lower dielectric constant than Teflon.

The wood chosen for the construction of the McCallum Isolator is African Blackwood, which is one of the most absorbent and dense woods available, often used in woodwind instruments such as the Scottish bagpipe. Leading Scottish bagpipe producer McCallum collaborated with Atlas on the isolator, hence the name of this isolator plug.
